If I’m going to get screwed

30 04 2008

Damn it at least let me get a good orgasm out of the deal.

Monday dr prescribed me several scrips, including a Zpack and a cough syrup that would knock me flat out at night.  I dropped them off at Walmart and proceeded to spend an hour waiting without spending any money.  When I get over there they tell me that they didn’t have the syrup and they weren’t able to contact my dr for followup.  Whatever.

So tonight I go over to pick up the syrup (had to wait for payday to come to the rescue) and went through the thing of having a pharmicist counsel me.  As I start to walk off with it I notice the dollar amount.  $61.43.  So I went back, stood in line again and asked them to make sure it was run through with my insurance.  That was after insurance!!!  Because of the way my insurance does deductibles, I was paying for almost all of the scrip.  Now I know I had gotten spoiled with my old insurance where I didn’t have deductibles on scrips but I have a hard time with the idea that a cough syrup was over $75.  I get that more designer drugs, ones doing something like curing cancer or AIDS with big development and big liability risks will be expensive but this is a damn cough syrup.

I decided I would get a tank of gas instead.

Instructions and NO CHEATING

1.  Do not read the comments here until you have done #2.

2.  Repost on your own blog, answer with your own answers in your comments and then call someone out.  You then will also answer the questions for the person you call out in your comment.  If that person will answer your call out, you can then see if you know that person as well as you think you do.

3.  Then come back and copy & paste your answers in the comments in my blog to see how close I was in the answers.

On to the poll questions…

1.  Because of your glaring intelligence, you have been asked to write two books on two very different subjects, of which you are an absolute authority on.  What are those two subjects (and they must be on two very different subjects)?

2.  Again because everyone is so in awe of your incredible intelligence, the country decided instead of having the mess of primaries, debates and elections, we would let you decide the next President.  You can chose anyone who meets the qualifications as laid out by the Constitution.  Who do you pick?

3.  You are the fashion guru everyone needs help from.  What is the one fashion law you would make it a crime to break?

4.  Without your help, our children and future generations are doomed.  Besides the two books you wrote for question # 1, what other two books would you make required reading for every child?

5.  As a sign of your supreme generousity, you get to pick one item that will be forever free to all consumers.  What is it?

 Ok I call out Sportzmom.

I really hate my job

30 04 2008

I have sent out a few resumes, just with the economy like it is, there isn’t much out there right now.  But I hate working with a woman who has no clue how to do her job and can’t think for herself.  I really hate working for a company that starts projects and never finishes them.  I hate working for a boss who micromanages the smallest details while leaving the big things not done.  I hate working for a man who disappears from work every chance he gets.  I hate that I’m the accountant here but they won’t give me the reins to do what I need to do.

I’m miserable.

Go Stars, Go Stars

29 04 2008

For a team that wasn’t suppose to get out of the first round of the playoffs, they be looking pretty damn good.  This helps the Dallas fan base who has to put up with the horrible no good Mavs and the always dismal Rangers.

And if these off season rumors about Romo don’t go away, then it might not be too much fun for the Boys fans.  All this worry about Pacman and Dixon, if success has gone to Romo’s head, it won’t matter about Hill’s boys.

But that is months away (boohoo) and so right now it is good to be a Dallas Stars fan!

Can you remember?

28 04 2008

1.  What is your earliest memory of your dad?

2.  What is the first movie you can remember seeing in a movie theatre?

3.  What is the earliest memory of a pet?

4.  Describe the first home you remember living in?

5.  What is the earliest current event item you can remember?

That is all.  Carry on.

Pacman is coming to Dallas

24 04 2008

Of course we don’t know when he will get to play but that is ok (for now, come August I want answers).

I think many fans do not know the depth of impact CHill will have here.  When you look at the TO’s, Keyshawn Johnson and others that were known troublemakers and he was able to work with them.  Pacman wants to play and he wants to show the league that he can change.  He wants to be with a winner and he can bring an edge to that secondary we desperately need.  You know that Jerry asked CHill, can you work with this boy?

I think this is a smart gamble.  Nothing risked nothing gained.  But the risk is minimal and the payoff has the potential for mega excitement.  We are in such desperate need in that secondary for someone who can ignite a spark, because it sure as hell won’t be Roy Williams (unless it is to watch him go up in flames).

I was the first to be upset when I heard TO was coming to Dallas.  I came around as I saw and realized how the media was setting him, using him and that he wasn’t as bad as they needed him to be.  He is just a competitive person who needs to feel his team is at the same level he is.

I also believe the sports industry is partial to blame in many of these cases.  So many of the players in whatever sport you want to point at (except maybe golf) are from families where they do not get drenched with training on how to handle success.  Then suddenly these guys get fame and riches, and family and old friends are there for the ride.  They need to be taught how to handle this kind of life.  Shoot many of the girls and boys in Hollywood need the same help.

Too funny

21 04 2008

What is on one of the History Channel tonight?  Banned from the Bible.  Timely huh?

C is really enjoying it.  He is such a different child.  KB is sleeping, she can’t seem to stay awake tonight.

Yes I am fiddling

21 04 2008

I’m having a blast playing with my blog template.  It goes to show, life moves on, change happens, yada yada yada.  If you don’t like change, get over it.

Very exciting

21 04 2008

No one gave them a chance.  None what so ever and yet the Stars survived the first round of the playoffs.  This brings back memories of me and my sister sitting up ALL night long watching game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals a few years back.  Wouldn’t it feel good to do that again?

Rangers are playing the Red Sox right now.  Anyone gives the Rangers a chance in hell?  Thought not.

So my son C is of course getting interested in baseball all the way around. I explained that the closest pro team is the Rangers but that Sportzie wants him to be a Red Sox fan. He asked me the difference so I explained he could like the local team or he could like a good team.

No danger of the Rangers ever being confused for a good team.
